Father's Day

What a great Father's Day!!

First, the kids made me breakfast (with a smidgen of help from mom)

Sean picked strawberries and blueberries from our garden and added them to Mickey head pancakes Mary cooked...

...and then he made some for himself, sister & mom!

Kayl, who is now using the stove top independently, made me one of her famous omletes...

...with fresh chives from our garden, garlic from Belle's garden, chicken & cheese!

For lunch, it was a 'gourmet' salad picked from our garden!

Then, the kiddos had put together a Father's Day skit for my entertainment (and to meet some of Sean's cub scout arrow points...). Thought you might like to see it:

Finally, we ended the night with cake & presents!

Venus Transit

The kiddos did a great science project watching the very rare (every 120 years!) transit of Venus across the face of the sun. We took the best two pictures - one of the kids and one of the sun - made a collage and sent them to the local news. KATU (local ABC channel 2) used in in their 11pm news, and then again in the 6am news!
